Yoichi Imamura of Team BOSS with POTENZA D1 Project
Wins Round Two of the 2009 D1 Grand Prix

At the second round of the 2009 D1 Grand Prix, held on April 25 and 26 at Autopolis in Oita Prefecture, Yoichi Imamura of Team BOSS with POTENZA D1 Project ended the first-round tansou (individual driving) in sixth place, with 99.05 points. In the head-to-head tsuisou, however, he gambled it all, and, with superior technique, advanced to the finals. There he faced Ken Nomura of team BLITZ-the same driver as he competed with in the finals of Round 1-and, with a super-long drift, won the Round, with Nomura coming in second. In the opening tansou competition, a strong long drift gave the only 100-point result to Chikara Mizuhata of Team HPI Racing, putting him into the lead, but a blown engine unfortunately forced him to retire.
