Tatsuya Sakuma of Team TOYOTIRES with GP SPORTS Takes Fifth Place in
Round 6 of the 2009 D1 Grand Prix.
Light rain made for difficult track conditions in Round 6 of the 2009 D1 Grand Prix, held at the Ebisu Circuit in Fukushima Prefecture. Tetsuya Sakuma of Team TOKYO TIRES with GP Sports ended the tanso competition in 14th place, with 98.02 points. He was able to move on into the top eight, and finished the round in fifth place. Yoichi Imamura of Team BOSS with POTENZA D1 Project was sixth, while Ken Nomura of BLITZ came in seventh, putting them, respectively, in third and fourth places overall for the series. Both are certainly going to be looking to fight for the championship at the upcoming rounds at Fuji Speedway.
