Wins Day One of the 2009 D1 Grand Prix Exhibition, Tokyo Drift in Odaiba.

On May 23, day one of the 2009 D1 Grand Prix Exhibition, Tokyo Drift in Odaiba, held on a special course in the popular Odaiba area of Tokyo, driver Yoshinori Koguchi of Dunlop with Koguchi Power ended the first-round tansou (individual driving) in ninth place with 99.02 points. Despite damage following a crash in the tsuisou head-to-head section, Koguchi fought hard and advanced to the finals. The highlight of the finals was Koguchi, in the following position, showing outstanding chase technique and taking the win. Koguchi, along with Kazuyoshi Okamura, who also competed at Odaiba, were both involved in the development and testing of COPPERMIX, the GT L.S.D. Pro and the reinforced six-speed transmission for the Silvia. We're looking forward to much more from Okamura as well in coming competition.
