グローバルな大ヒットスポーツカーとなった初代フェアレディZ(S30型)は、国内の2ℓエンジンに対して、輸出向けは2.4ℓエンジンで発売されました。
この輸出仕様が、発売2年後の1971年になって日本市場にも新規投入された際に追加になったのが、独特のノーズピース「エアロダイナ・ノーズ」をもつ240ZGです。
このクルマはその240ZGのレース仕様テストカーで、排気量2,870ccクロスフローのLY28型エンジンを搭載しています。
The first-generation Fairlady Z (S30 type), which became a global blockbuster sports car, was released with a 2.4-liter engine for export, compared to the 2-liter engine used in Japan.
When this export specification was newly introduced to the Japanese market in 1971, two years after its release, the 240ZG, which had a unique nosepiece called the Aerodyna Nose, was added.
This car is a race spec test car for the 240ZG, and is equipped with a LY28 engine with a displacement of 2,870cc.
