バイオレットは高い走破性と信頼性の高さをフルに発揮して、1982年の第30回サファリラリーにおいて、総合優勝をつかみ取りました。
この勝利によって、日産自動車は同ラリー史上初の4連覇(1979年～1982年)を達成。
クルマだけでなく、ドライバー:シェカー・メッタ、ナビゲーター:マイク・ドウティのクルーとしても、同ラリー史上初の4連覇を成し遂げ、大きなニュースになりました。
このマシンのエンジンは、直列4気筒DOHC・1975ccで、230馬力の最高出力をマークしたグループ4仕様のLZ20B型を搭載していました。
バランスに優れたシャシーと高出力性、耐久性を兼ね備えたエンジンを持つPA10バイオレットでしたが、この年限りでグループ2/4規定が終了、華麗な戦績を残してラリーカーとしての歴史を閉じました。
2009年、「日産名車再生クラブ」が当時のダメージを残しつつレストアし、次世代への継承を図っています。

In 2009, Nissan's Restoration Club restored it while preserving the original damage, with the aim of passing it on to the next generation.
