#35 NISSAN GT-R driven by Michael Krumm (GER) set the best lap of 2:24.109 in qualifying of TOTAL 24 hours of Spa and took 8th position on the grid among 39 cars entered.
One month interval after Oschersleben race allowed the team to improve performance of the car and make a good preparation for the biggest challenge of the season. Moreover ex-F1 driver Anthony Davidson joined the team for 24 hours of Spa.
In the first free practice session on Thursday morning, #35 NISSAN GT-R entered by NISSAN Motorsports in a partnership with Gigawave MotorSport made a promising start after an absence of 17 years for GT-R at Spa, being the 4th quickest with a lap of 2:24.254 set by Darren Turner (UK).
Qualifying sessions took place in the evening. 1st qualifying started in dry condition, but when 15 minutes in, a heavy rain flooded the track. Michael Krumm set the best lap on lap 4, but position did not change in the following 2 qualify sessions due to an extremely wet track condition.
Race will start at 4:00 PM on Saturday, 25th July.
