New Patrol NISMO will serve as a First Rescue Operation vehicle for upcoming Super GT season
YOKOHAMA, Japan - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) announced today that the new Patrol NISMO will serve as a First Rescue Operation (FRO) vehicle in the 2026 season of the Super GT series. The Patrol NISMO will make its track debut during the series Round 1 at Okayama International Circuit. The handover ceremony will take place on race day, April 12.
FRO vehicles play a vital role in race safety, transporting drivers, doctors, and rescue staff swiftly and safely to the scene in the event of a track incident.
The Patrol nameplate is renowned around the world for its exceptional capability in challenging driving conditions. The Patrol NISMO builds on this, drawing on motorsport tuning and expertise to deliver a high-precision SUV that sports refined composure on the road and purpose-built performance on the track.
The NISMO model features a specially tuned 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with an output of 495 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Combined with aerodynamic exterior tuning and dedicated suspension setup, the Patrol NISMO offers sharp responsiveness and strong acceleration despite its SUV proportions.
