NISMO Sports Resetting for Fairlady Z (Z34) TYPE-1 NISMO Sports Resetting for Fairlady Z (Z34) TYPE-2

Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (Head office at Minami-Oi Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Shoichi Miyatani, "NISMO") launches the engine tuning menu "NISMO Sports Resetting" for the Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34). It goes on sale in Japan from September 22 at NISMO Omori Factory and NISMO Expert Shops nationwide.

NISMO Sports Resetting for the Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) comes in two types - TYPE-1 for Version NISMO and TYPE-2 for standard Z34. NISMO Sports Resetting TYPE-1 has special ECM with only the speed limiter modified, thus minimizing any danger caused by the speed difference with other cars when you drive in a circuit. Meanwhile, TYPE-2, in addition to the change in the speed limiter, is a tuning menu with special ECM which maximizes the latent performance of the engine, thus bringing sportier engine characteristics. In addition, NISMO will start a genuine Nissan ECM trade-in service*

For better price, NISMO offers a service in which you can trade in the genuine Nissan ECM, which will be unnecessary.
Note1 : For NISMO Sports Resetting for Fairlady Z (Z34) TYPE 2, a set of the genuine Nissan ECMs and genuine Nissan muffler will be traded in.

1. NISMO Sports Resetting for Fairlady Z (Z34) TYPE-1
Only the speed limiter is re-programmed for Version NISMO which provides sufficient engine characteristics without any upgrading. Therefore, with this product, any danger caused by speed differences with other cars is minimized when driving in a circuit.

Warranty period : One year or a 20,000 km

The warranty is not provided for cars which have exceeded 60,000 km or for which passed more than 5 years of first vehicle registration. Check with a dealer for detailed warranty conditions.

2. NISMO Sports Resetting for Fairlady Z (Z34) TYPE-2
TYPE-2 includes the isometric full-dual exhaust system for Version NISMO, which achieves excellent exhaust performance with a left-right bank independent exhaust system. The ECM is tuned according to exhaust performance upgrade. In addition to the change in the speed limiter, the TYPE-2 Sports Resetting enhances the acceleration response in the low/medium speed range. This means you can sense the smooth and sporty acceleration feel at startup and during acceleration. The rear muffler in the system was exclusively designed to fit the shape of the normal bumper.
The exclusive isometric full-dual exhaust system to be combined with the special ECM has acquired the pre-certification of replacement mufflers based on the replacement muffler pre-certification*1 system.

*1  Replacement muffler pre-certification system
In case of replacing a muffler of vehicles which are manufactured after April 1st, 2010, the replaced muffler without a performance confirmation plate will be rejected at an automobile inspection. The performance confirmation plate should be issued by certain organizations approved by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, after the performance test of replacement mufflers, such as a noise level.
