"NISMO MFD Lap Sensor Kits" for NISSAN GT-R (R35) now available

Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minami-Oi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President: Yuichi Sanada, "NISMO") launches "NISMO MFD Lap Sensor Kits" for the NISSAN GT-R (R35), which goes on sale in Japan at NISMO Omori Factory, NISMO Expert Shops nationwide, NOVA Engineering Co., Ltd. and NordRing, certain Nissan certified shops for NISSAN GT-R and Nissan High Performance Centers nationwide. It is also available at Middlehurst Motorsport, NISMO authorized dealer, in the UK.

While the time-logger function in the Multi-function Meter installed in the NISSAN GT-R as standard equipment is designed to manually measure time, mounting the NISMO MFD Lap Sensor Kit makes it possible to automatically measure the lap-times during drives on a circuit. Owing to this sensor kit, precise measurement of lap-time becomes possible so that you can focus on driving on a circuit. In addition, since the standard Multi-function Meter is available for displaying the lap-time, there is no need for any extra monitors. 2 types of NISMO MFD Lap Sensor Kits are available: "Type M" that detects the magnet embedded under a circuit and "Type B" that employs a beacon sensor and a transmitter. Please select in accordance with the condition of your use.

*  Any warranty for cars installed with this sensor kit continuously applies, except for any trouble caused by this sensor kit.


1. MFD Lap Sensor Kit , Type M
This is an automatic lap-time measuring system that makes use of the magnet embedded under a circuit.
<Features>
• Automatically measuring the lap-time by sensing the magnetism from a magnet buried in each circuit course.
• Applicable at circuits with embedded magnets.
• Display of the lap-time by using the Multi-function Meter (No additional monitor is required.)
* The sensor is required to be securely attached outside the vehicle body during drive.
* Sectional time cannot be measured with this sensor kit. When the circuit provides multi-pointed magnets for measurement of sectional time, please use the sensor kit by setting the measuring point of lap-time (with measuring point setting function).

●Magnet Detection Sensor-The harness is compatible with types M and B of the MFD Lap Sensor. If you have purchased the Type B, you can use the Type M by purchase of only the Magnet Detection Sensor. However, a single harness cannot simultaneously connect with Types M and B.

2. MFD Lap Sensor Kit , Type B
This is an automatic lap-time measuring system with a beacon sensor and a transmitter (Infra-red transmitter).

<Features>
• Automatically measuring the lap-time by placing the transmitter at any and all circuit courses.
*  The lap-time can be measured by passing over the transmitter placed at a pit platform or the like.
• A single transmitter can simultaneously measure the lap-time of multiple cars.
*  One beacon sensor and harness are required for each car.
• 15 channels are provided as sending and receiving channels. As many as 15 groups can use the transmitters at the same time by altering channels.
• Display of the lap-time by using the Multi-function Meter (No additional monitor is required.)
