Yoichi Imamura of M7 BOSS SGC with DUNLOP
Wins the Opening Round of the 2010 D1 Grand Prix.

Round One of the 2010 D1 Grand Prix was held on a specially-constructed course in Tokyo's popular Odaiba area on Saturday, March 27. Driver Yoichi Imamura of team M7 Boss SGC with Dunlop ended the first-round tansou section with 99.60 points, putting him in fifth place. In the tsuisou chase section, Imamura, the 2009 Series champion, held on with a winning performance and moved on to the finals. In the second race, he was in the following position, drifting in concert with the lead car, but made a bold move and took the inside by the second corner, ensuring the win. Masato Kawabata of Team TOYOTIRES DRIFT with GP SPORTS used outstanding cornering and stability as his weapons in taking the lead in the first round. Advancing from the tsuisou to the finals, he also had a very strong performance, ending in third place.
